| On March 13, 1976, an
article appeared in the Sacramento Union describing the newly
developing College Greens East Community and the use of Crawford's
Barn for community events. This article provides a rich description
of the original horse ranch and the barn and how the community
developers retained some of the original features of the Cowell
Estate most notably the barn named after their famous race horse,
Crawford. We invite you to read the actual newspaper clipping
and see a picture of the Barn taken in 1976. |
